The weather is warming up and it’s beginning to look like primavera (spring) around here! The seasonal changes means we need to brush up/learn/review our Spanish Spring Vocabulary Words!
Kids love themes and it helps boost their retention for learning new vocabulary. Take advantage of the changing seasons and get started! Great resources, like coloring and other vocabulary activities, not only engage and target skills but they also make it fun!

For Pascua (Easter), we have something for everyone! There are 2 lists below: a non-religious and a list with more religion-based vocabulary words.
Contemporary Easter Vocabulary Words:
- el domingo de Pascua– Easter Sunday
- el conejito/el conejito de Pascua– Easter Bunny
- huevos de Pascua– Easter eggs
- el dulces– candy
- el chocolate– chocolate
- las gominolas– jelly beans
- la canasta– Easter Basket
- el pollito– chick
✅ And kids love to decorar los huevos (decorate eggs) and go on an Easter egg hunt (busqueda de huevos de Pascua)!
Religious Easter Spanish Vocabulary Words:

During Holy Week, there’s Holy Thursday (Jueves Santo), Good Friday (Viernes Santo), Holy Saturday (Sabado de Gloria) and then el domingo de Pascua (Easter Sunday).
On Holy Thursday, la última cena (Last Supper) is celebrated and Jesus washed the disciples feet (lavarse los pies).
