Dear Diary,
For Spring Break, our family is heading to Costa Rica! I never even heard of it until mom said we were going there. I put a picture in to show you where it is and to remind myself where we are.
Let me start by saying that our family (of 11) does not travel very often, so being in the airport was quite new for some of us. My older sisters, Lea (18 years old), Jayla (21) and Charlotte (13), have been on a plane but the rest of us have not. Oh, and Skipper Roberts came with us. Just so you know, Charlotte and Skipper can get a bit crazy when they are together.
The O’Hare Airport in Chicago was quite entertaining.
In this picture, Charlotte and Skipper tried sneaking into the First Class Section at the gate. I warned them they couldn’t go in there (like my mom would pay First Class for 12 people) but they didn’t listen. They ended up just hanging onto the ropes as security tried to get them out of there. They kept yelling to each other, “HANG ON!”, “WE BELONG IN FIRST CLASS!”, “DON’T KICK US OUT! WE’VE NEVER BEEN TO COSTA RICA!” We all laughed so hard watching this “show”. So did the other passengers!
The security guard just shook his blonde head and walked away. I think he was giggling a little.
Escalators are big fun! Well, for Charlotte and Skipper they are, they went on them at least 25 times!
I have never seen so many flights! How the heck do they keep track?
Doesn’t everyone have fun riding on a moving walkway?
Well, that was our airport fun! We made it through. I wonder if the way home will be as exciting? Time to go! I’ll write more from Costa Rica!
